How Does the K-Cup Work?

Are K-Cups instant coffee?
No, they’re not. Let me explain. Instant coffee is when you take coffee powder or crystals and put it directly into your cup. You can put as much as you like. The more you put the stronger the coffee will be. After you put the coffee, you add hot water and stir. You may add a sweetener and that’s it. A K-Cup is more like a regular filtered coffee but just in single serve portion. The K-Cup is a small cup filled with coffee. It has a filter on the bottom with a little hole for it to drip. It is sealed of course to keep it fresh. That’s it. Try it!
Are K-Cups recyclable?
The short answer is yes, but it involves a little work on your part. Since the K-Cup consists of multiple kinds of materials such as plastic for the cup, aluminum for the cover, paper to filter the coffee and the coffee itself. Each one of these materials can be easily recycled, but they must be separated with each part going into the correct bin.
Do K-Cups expire?
As with all coffees the fresher the K-Cup, the better it is going to taste. Having said that K-Cups typically have an eight to twelve month best by date. But since you bought your product from us, you can always return an expired k-cups back to us for a fresh ones or full credit.
How to recycle K-Cups?

K-Cups consist of four different materials, which simply need to be separated before recycling. The cup itself is made out plastic, the bag and filter inside are made from paper, the top part is made from aluminum and the coffee itself, which is an organic substance.

How much coffee is in a K-Cups?
An Original branded K-Cup will be filled nearly to the top depending on the boldness. Just a little space for air and that’s it. If you buy a cheaper non branded type, there is a good chance that the K-Cup will not be filled all the way. This will obviously affect the quality and taste of the coffee which is we recommend that you always buy branded K-Cups for superior taste.
How long do k cups last?
There is no clear answer to this question as there are many factors. Keurig, the manufacturer, promises a minimum of 3 months expiration, but that means nothing. In many cases product can sit in warehouse for a long time and be sold very close to the expiration date. At KCUPSforSALE.com we check and rotate our inventory on a weekly basis to keep inventory as fresh as possible.
